The son of Yaldabaoth who turned against his father. In the Gnostic telling, when Sabaoth heard the voice of Wisdom and saw the light above, he condemned his father and the matter of Chaos, and praised the realm of light. For this repentance he was raised up and set over the seventh heaven, given a throne of glory, and made a power of the light within the lower world, the rarest thing in the Demiurge’s kingdom: an Archon who chose to look up.
