Chief of the fallen Watchers in the Book of Enoch: the one who taught humankind the making of swords and shields, ornaments and paints, "and the world was changed." The whole earth, the book says, was corrupted through the works taught by Azazel: "to him ascribe all sin." He is bound hand and foot and cast into darkness until the great day.
